Doug Groy Co-Owner
Doug is a native of Reedsburg, WI. who graduated from UW Whitewater with a BBA in Marketing. Doug started out doing sales in the business world, by selling for Honeywell Protection Systems in Miami, Florida. After quick success with Honeywell, Doug was recruited by United Telesentinel, a division of United Telecom. In his third year with United Telesentinel, Doug and his family were transferred to Charlotte, NC where he continued on as sales manager for another two years.
In 1990 Doug and his family moved back to WI to be closer to their families. Doug went to work selling in the printing industry. After five successful years Doug was recruited by Winona Printing where he became a part owner.
During the last four years of his partnership at Winona Printing, Doug spent time helping start Verona Safety Supply. He used his business experience doing the company’s Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable during evening hours. After four years Verona Safety Supply was growing at a fast pace and demanding more of his evening time. The business was also in need of more space and had to find a larger facility. In July of 2001, Doug resigned from Winona Printing to join full-time. Today he is (as Doug likes to kid) the full-time janitor... just one of the many hats he wears around here.
Jason Schaefer Co-Owner
My name is Jason J. Schaefer and I am the Accounting Manager here at Verona Safety. I have been with Verona Safety since 2003, and have over five years of experience in the health and safety industry. My post-secondary education was at Moraine Park Technical College. I grew up in Oakfield, WI, a small town near Fond du Lac. Currently, I reside in Stoughton with Trish, my wife, and our two children. In addition to spending time with these three lovely ladies I enjoy golf, hunting, fishing and watching football, especially my two favorite teams, the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. I look forward to serving you as we continue working towards the goal of meeting all your health and safety needs.

My background starts with growing up in a rural Wisconsin town called Fremont. I spent my high school years at Fox Valley Lutheran in Appleton, WI . During college I started as a loader at United Parcel Service moving into a management position when school ended. I entered the safety industry in 1997 while continuing employment at UPS. In the year 2001, the opportunity to join Verona Safety Supply as a partner presented itself. I am now one of three partners in a business that has been built on the same principles I developed growing up in a small Wisconsin community. I appreciate the customers we currently work with and look forward to building relationships with those that have just now found Verona Safety. Sheila Hoppe Customer Service-Waukesha
Hi, I’m Sheila. I am currently in the Waukesha Location of Verona Safety. I enjoy working with you, our customer, in the Accounts Receivable Department and Customer Service. I have been in the safety industry since 1990 at Saf-Tech, Inc. and now with all the great folks at Verona Safety. I grew up in Waukesha, where I spent my high school years at Waukesha North and followed with a few courses at Waukesha Area Technical College. I currently reside in Wales with Chris, my husband, and our two boys. I enjoy spending time watching my kids play basketball and football, watching my husband coach, traveling up north to the cabin and playing soccer. I’m blessed to be apart of this team and look forward to a rewarding future with Verona Safety and the great customers we serve. Be safe and have a great day!

Hi, I'm Gayle. I've been selling safety equipment since 1979 (I started when I was 12 years old -- ha). I originally worked for a welding supply distributor in Wisconsin for 6 years before I started Saf-Tech Safety Supply in 1985. I currently reside in Eagle, Wisconsin w/my husband of the past 19 years, Dale. We enjoy living in the Kettle Moraine Southern Unit surrounded by the beautiful forest and fields. We're located right on the horse trails where I spend most of my time in summer and fall horse back riding. We've got a mini-farm and take care of our horses and pony located on our property. Sheila Hoppe, who is our customer service rep here in the Waukesha branch, is my daughter. Her sons are our very talented grandsons! Sheila and I have been working together for 19+ years and I enjoy working for Verona Safety Supply with all its wonderful team members.
